Our Community Partners
Tree care is a local business. The trees we work on are in our neighbors' yards, along the streets our kids ride bikes down, and in the parks we spend our weekends in. These are the Central Texas organizations we put money behind.
Three organizations, three different kinds of support
We support each of these in a different way. Two get a monthly donation and one gets an annual membership.
EarthShare Texas
EarthShare Texas is an Austin-based nonprofit federation that raises unrestricted funding for more than 30 environmental organizations across the state, covering land conservation, water resources, wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, and environmental education. It holds a four-star Charity Navigator rating and is a member of 1% for the Planet. Tree Scouts contributes every month. Unrestricted is the part that matters: the member groups decide where the money goes, and flexible funding like that is the hardest kind for a small nonprofit to come by.

Keep Austin Beautiful
Keep Austin Beautiful gets Austinites out into their own city to pick up litter, restore creeks and shorelines, pull invasive species, and plant native trees and plants. Programs like Adopt-a-Creek, Adopt-a-Street, and Clean Lady Bird Lake run all year long. Tree Scouts holds an annual membership. The invasive removal and native planting side of their work is the closest thing to what our arborists do for a living, so this one lands close to home.

Century Charities
Century Charities is a Christian ministry that has worked with children and families since 1972, grown out of the old Century Youth Ranch on land donated by Richard and Carol Woolstrum. Today it supports Christian education through Agape Houses, child development centers, and schools run out of church facilities, with work that now reaches well beyond Texas. Tree Scouts has a close relationship with one of their biggest advocates and gives to their mission.

Does supporting these groups change what I pay for tree work?
No. Our giving comes out of the business, not out of your estimate. A tree removal in Georgetown costs the same whether we cut a check that month or not. We would rather earn the job on the quality of the work and then decide for ourselves what to do with the margin.

Because the need was local and it was real. Century Charities runs programs for kids and families and we wanted to help them carry out their mission, even if it's in a small way. We are a christian-based business and believe in giving back when we can to make the lives better for others in and outside of our local community. We have very close ties with one of their biggest supporters and felt compelled to give to their organization. We love God and people of every background, and if we can even be a part of making a tiny difference in one life - then it's all worth it.

Possibly. We keep a limited amount of room in the schedule for donated and discounted work, and we prioritize organizations in the markets we already serve: Georgetown, Leander, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Hutto, Pflugerville, Austin, and the surrounding towns.
