Join once and your holidays are handled for good. Year one covers your custom-cut lights plus the full service. After that, the lights are yours — so every year after, program members only pay for install, maintenance, and takedown. Most homes see year two come in around half of year one.

How much does Christmas light installation cost in the Austin area?

Most homes in our service area land between $800 and $2,000 for the first year, which includes your custom-cut commercial-grade lights, installation, in-season maintenance, and January takedown. Simple single-story rooflines come in lower; large two-story homes, steep roofs, and tree wrapping push it higher. Because you own the lights after year one, returning customers typically pay about half that in following seasons.

Do I own the lights or lease them?

You own them. Your year-one price includes commercial-grade LED lights custom cut to your home, and they're yours to keep. That's why every year after costs roughly half — you're only paying for the hang, maintenance, and takedown. If you'd rather not store them, we offer optional off-season storage.

What if lights go out in the middle of December?

We fix it, and it's included. Storms, squirrels, and the occasional bad bulb are part of the season. Barring a major weather event, we're back out within 48 hours at no extra charge, all season long.

Can you wrap my oak trees in lights?

Yes — that's the part we're built for. Trunk wraps and lit canopies start around $250 per tree depending on size. Our lighting team wraps in a way that doesn't damage bark or girdle limbs, and with Tree Scouts arborists on staff we know exactly which limbs can safely carry the work.

When should I book?

September and October. Install calendars in Central Texas fill fast, and the best pre-Thanksgiving dates go first. Current Tree Scouts customers get priority scheduling — one more reason to get your fall trimming and your lights booked in the same visit.

Will installation damage my roof or gutters?

No. We use professional clips that attach to shingles and gutters without nails, staples, or screws. Everything comes off clean in January.
