Lighting
Professional low-voltage landscape lighting designed and installed by Scouts Lighting Pros, our dedicated lighting specialists - uplighting, moonlighting, path and facade lighting that makes your property glow every night of the year.
Every design starts with a nighttime walk of your property. We light what deserves to be seen - and nothing that doesn't.
Uplights graze the trunk and canopy of your live oaks; moonlights mounted high in the branches cast soft, dappled light down through the leaves - the most natural effect in landscape lighting, and the one most crews get wrong because they don't climb.
Gentle washes and grazing light that bring out stone, brick, and architectural lines - warm and welcoming, never a floodlit parking lot.
Low path lights and step lights that make walkways safe and inviting without runway-strip spacing.
Accent lighting for garden beds, seating areas, and pool surrounds that extends your evenings outside.
The best landscape lighting in Central Texas is tree lighting - and that's the part most lighting companies handle worst. Mounting a moonlight 25 feet up a live oak takes a climber. Placing fixtures without girdling limbs or trenching through root zones takes people who understand trees. Low-voltage wire buries shallow, so done right it barely disturbs roots - done wrong it wrecks the very trees you're lighting.
Our Scouts Lighting Pros design the light around how your trees grow, with Tree Scouts arborists in the same building for anything that touches a tree - and re-aim fixtures as the canopy fills in. Healthy, happy, beautifully lit trees. Scout's Honor.
Every system is designed for your property, fixture by fixture - and every quote is itemized, so you can start with one zone and grow.

We walk your property, talk through what you want to see from the street, the porch, and inside the house, and sketch a fixture plan on the spot.
Commercial-grade brass fixtures and low-voltage LED wiring, buried shallow and routed around root zones. Most installs finish in a day.
We come back after dark to aim every fixture, set the timer, and adjust until it's right. Fixtures get re-aimed as your trees grow.

A focused starter system covering your front trees and entry runs $800 to $2,000. Most full-property systems land between $2,000 and $4,500 (averaging about $3,500), and large estates with canopy moonlighting and smart controls run $4,500 and up. Pricing is driven mainly by fixture count - quality brass fixtures installed run roughly $150 to $250 each - and every quote is itemized per fixture so you can start with one zone and add more later without redoing anything.
Not the way we do it. Low-voltage wiring only needs shallow burial, so we can route it around root zones instead of trenching through them. Fixtures mounted in trees are attached with tree-safe hardware that allows for growth - never straps or screws that girdle a limb. Our Scouts Lighting Pros design and install every system and work alongside the Tree Scouts arborists, which is exactly why we added lighting as a service.
Moonlighting places soft downlights high in a tree's canopy - typically 20 to 30 feet up - so light filters down through the branches and casts dappled shadow patterns on the ground, like a full moon through the leaves. It's the most natural-looking effect in landscape lighting, and it requires a climber to install and maintain properly, which is why most lighting companies don't offer it.
Very little. Modern low-voltage LED systems typically draw less power than a single old incandescent porch bulb - running a full system every evening usually costs a few dollars a month. Systems run on an automatic timer or photocell, so they come on at dusk without you thinking about it.
Yes. Trees grow, and a fixture aimed perfectly this year will be lighting a branch by next. We re-aim, adjust, and service the systems we install - and because we're likely already trimming your trees, lighting checkups fold naturally into your regular tree care.
Book a free nighttime design consult. We'll walk the property, sketch a plan, and quote it fixture by fixture - no pressure, no obligation.
