Fungicide Injection

Definition

Fungicide injection is the practice of injecting systemic fungicides (commonly propiconazole, sold as Alamo) into a tree's vascular system through small ports drilled into the root flares. It is the only proven direct treatment for oak wilt.

In Central Texas

Fungicide injection is the standard Tree Scouts treatment for oak wilt suppression in Central Texas, performed by Levi Williams under Texas Pesticide Applicator License #0933008.
