Deep Root Fertilization

Definition

Deep root fertilization is the practice of injecting liquid fertilizer into the root zone of a tree, typically 6-12 inches below the surface, to deliver nutrients directly to the absorbing roots and bypass competition from turf.

In Central Texas

Deep root fertilization is particularly beneficial in Central Texas clay-heavy soils where nutrient uptake is often limited.
